More to come when someone who actually knows/remembers about Kalliste fills it in. For now, just know that it's a stark and barren placed filled with lots of shattered glass and grotesque human-like statues of glass…THAT USED TO BE PEOPLE!
Kalliste has a very neoclassical feel, but there are parts of it that feel awkward. And obviously it has glass everywhere. MORE TO COME SOON
MAPS AND BUILDING LAYOUTS
- Kalliste doesn't have a Heart.
- The portal leading to and from Nautilus is located between a pair of broken arches in the same city square as the Senate Building, up on the north side.
- The Gates outside the Senate Building and around various locations in the city are Form, Space, Matter, Energy, Time and Dream. The only one that remains open to make bending possible in Kalliste is the Gate of Form.
- The Gate of Truth that leads to the Labyrinth can be found here. You go down first through a series of winding and myriad passages – you pass through what actually looks like a prison of some sort, glimmering gates of some kind of force sectioning off cells. There's nothing inside them.
You eventually come down one more flight of stairs to a very, very different room.
It is smaller than the main entry hall, but still large enough to accommodate even the largest Cybertronians with room to spare. The room is dark, the only lighting coming from pale lights around the edges of the room. Still, you can see, quite clearly, the pattern inlaid into the floor.
There is no plaque. Instead, a ghostly voice speaks, coming from all directions at once:
WALK THE PATH. TAKE THE JOURNEY. TRUTH CALLS TO TRUTH: SPEAK TRUTHS AS YOU WALK, AND THE LABYRINTH WILL OPEN TO YOU
MORE THAN THIS, SPEAK THE TRUTH OF THE SELF: THAT WHICH IS FUNDAMENTAL. IT IS THIS THAT YOU MUST FACE IN THE LABYRINTH. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENCOUNTER.
To open this Gate, characters must walk the pattern on the floor and, as they walk, say only things that are true… more than that, they must speak at least one truth that is an absolute truth, something that truly defines them. They'll be compelled slightly towards this end, so don't worry if you can't figure it out.
Once the truths have been spoken and someone has reached the center, the center will open up into an area of absolute blackness. Falling into this will send a character straight to the Labyrinth, do not pass Go, do not collect $200
Furthermore, everyone in the area will be only able to speak the truth, thanks to the reality storm unleashed by opening this Gate.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PASSING INTO THE LABYRINTH REQUIRES MOD APPROVAL.
Bending and natural abilities work the same way they do in Nautilus.
Only statues live here now. And maybe some monsters.
